Event Speakers

Billy Armstrong

Billy Armstrong, Head Varsity Basketball Coach at Bergen Catholic High School, has built a reputation as one of New Jersey’s most respected coaches, leading the Crusaders to back-to-back State Championships, multiple league and county titles, and two Tournament of Champions appearances. A former Division I standout at Davidson College and six-year professional player in Europe and the U.S., Billy brings a wealth of experience and a coaching philosophy rooted in “Trust, Care, and Commitment.” Known for developing both the skills and character of his players, he blends the lessons learned from legendary mentors with his own relentless pursuit of growth, consistently producing teams that excel on the court and young men who succeed beyond it. Respected for both his accomplishments and his integrity, Billy is deeply committed to giving back to his community and helping the next generation achieve their basketball dreams.

David Lam

David Lam, founder of Kaizen Basketball Collective, has built a reputation as one of North Jersey’s most trusted trainers, helping players from the youth level to the NBA grow both on and off the court. A driven player himself who once struggled to find the right path, David began training to guide others who shared his hunger but lacked direction, determined to help them avoid the mistakes he made. His journey has taken him from the sidelines of Blair Academy’s 2019 state championship team to working with programs across the region, giving him a rare ability to connect individual skill development with team success. Grounded in the Kaizen philosophy of continuous improvement, David’s mission goes beyond basketball—instilling confidence, discipline, and character that players carry with them long after the game ends.
